Second death in Point Pleasant fire

POINT PLEASANT, W.Va. — A second person has died in connection with a Point Pleasant house fire according to the state Fire Marshal’s Office.

Fire marshals said Tiffany Grant, 26, of Point Pleasant, died at the Cabell-Huntington Burn Unit. Her brother, 11-year-old Braxton Smith, died at the fire scene Saturday. Another brother, 14-year-old Tre, is in critical condition at a Cincinnati hospital.

The parents were able to make it out of the burning house.

The investigation into what started the blaze is continuing.
