$1 million winner? Logan convenience store owner says so

HUFF CREEK, W.Va. — A Logan County convenience store owner said his store sold a $1 million winning Mega Millions ticket in Friday’s jackpot drawing.

C&L Super Serve owner Larry Trogdon told the Logan Banner newspaper he was notified by the West Virginia Lottery early Saturday morning a winning ticket had been sold at his Huff Creek store.

Trogdon said the man who purchased the ticket came in Saturday afternoon to check the numbers. He said the man is a laid-off coal miner.

The man must first present his winning ticket at lottery headquarters in Charleston before it’s official. There has been no word yet from lottery officials.
