Canaan extends season

DAVIS, W.Va. – Skiers will be able to shred the slopes at Canaan Valley Resort through March 23.

The Tucker County ski area has extended its season. That’s possible because Tucker County has received 130 inches of natural snow since the season started back in December.

The extension gives skiers an extra three weeks to enjoy the downhill slopes, beginners ski area, tubing park and ice skating area. All 43 trails are currently open. You can read the daily slope report at www.canaanresort.com.

Snowshoe Mountain Resort announced earlier this week it will stay open through the first week in April.
