Carey, players react to dominant victory

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Mike Carey joked about giving his best pregame speech ever, one so riveting that senior center Asya Bussie laughingly said she didn’t really remember it after the game.

Yet Carey obviously pushed the right buttons and No. 13 West Virginia made all the right plays in a 77-45 romp over No. 12 Oklahoma State on Wednesday night.

Not only did WVU stay within striking distance of Big 12 frontrunner Baylor, but also gave its potential NCAA tournament seeding a boost.

Check out the postgame comments from Carey and Bussie, along with Christal Caldwell and Bria Holmes, after the Mountaineers assembled their best performance of the season.
