Bar fight continues at Parkersburg home

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. — A Wood County man is charged with malicious wounding after allegedly tracking down a man he’d fought with in a bar late Friday night and stabbing him.

Jacob N. Evans, 30, of Parkersburg was arrested early Saturday morning.

Witnesses said Evans — an employee at a bar called Nip and Cue — got into a fight at the bar with Christopher Adam Grinter, 27, on Friday night.  The two were separated and Grinter reportedly left the bar.

However, those witnesses told Parkersburg Police Evans later showed up at a home on Covert Street to confront Grinter.  During a fight at the home, Grinter was stabbed with a large knife.

As of Monday morning, Grinter was said to be in serious condition at Camden Clark Medical Center’s St. Joseph’s Campus.
