More winter for West Virginia

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The National Weather Service has put 15 West Virginia counties under a Winter Weather Advisory for a 12-hour period from 10 p.m. Tuesday to 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Meteorologists are forecasting 1 to 3 inches of snow in the lower elevations and 3 to 5 inches in the mountains. The snow is expected to begin between 10 p.m. and midnight with the heaviest snow coming between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.

Counties under the advisory include Kanawha, Roane, Calhoun, Mingo, Logan, Boone, Clay, Braxton, Gilmer, Lewis, Nicholas, Webster, Upshur, Barbour and Randolph counties.
