Plywood truck dumps load in Huntington

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — A truck carrying 48,000 pounds of plywood wrecked Tuesday morning in Huntington creating a morning rush hour mess.

The wreck happened on the connector between U.S. Route 52 and Interstate 64 when the truck driver had his load shift after exiting the interstate. Some of the plywood slammed into a passing car. The driver was hurt and taken to a hospital.

It took crews about three hours to clean-up the hundreds of sheets of plywood covering the highway.

The road reopened by 9:30 a.m.
