Two dead in Preston fire

AURORA, W.Va. — The state Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a weekend fire in Preston County that claimed two lives.

Investigators said the house on Eglon Road in Aurora was full of flames when fire crews arrived on the scene at shortly after 1:30 Sunday morning. Two people were trapped inside. Their names have not been released.

The bodies were taken to the state Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsies.
