Class A girls state tournament bracket set

St. Joseph Central is going for its sixth straight state championship in Class A.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The bracket is set for the eight teams that have qualified for the Class A girls basketball state tournament in Charleston.

 

CLASS A SEEDS:

1. St. Joseph Central

2. St. Marys

3. Tucker County

4. Wheeling Central

5. Charleston Catholic

6. Pocahontas County

7. Fayetteville

8. Tug Valley

 

All Class-A first round games will be played Thursday, March 13th at the Charleston Civic Center.

9:30 a.m. No. 3 Tucker County vs. No. 6 Pocahontas County

1:00 p.m. No. 2 St. Marys vs. No. 7 Fayetteville

5:30 p.m. No. 1 St. Joseph Central vs. No. 8 Tug Valley

9:00 p.m. No. 4 Wheeling Central vs. No. 5 Charleston Catholic

Class A semifinal round games will be played during the early session of the tournament Friday. The Class A championship game is set for a 2:30 p.m. tip time on Saturday.
