Logan continuing to support Skyler Miller as he battles leukemia

LOGAN, W.Va. — It’s not always just about winning or losing in high school athletics – there are often deeper stories about bringing a community together for a greater cause. That’s certainly been the case in Logan as the community and high school have rallied behind Skyler Miller, a sophomore athlete at the school who was diagnosed with leukemia last year.

It’s not only been the folks in Logan who have stepped in to give support to his family, but other teams and schools around the state have held fundraisers as well.

Logan head coach Mark Hatcher was a recent guest on the MetroNews Sportsline with some background on Miller’s story overall (you can watch the update above). You can also keep up with Skyler at the Facebook page Team Skyler or on Twitter with the hashtag #TeamSkyler.
