Two hurt, no arrest yet in Huntington bar shooting

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — The state Alcohol Beverage Control Administration has suspended a Huntington bar’s liquor license for at least ten days after two people were wounded in a shooting at the site early Saturday morning.

Shots were fired inside Club 1201 on Huntington’s 4th Ave. around 2:30 a.m. Saturday.  More than 50 people were there at the time.

A woman, identified as Amanda McGinnis, 24, of Raceland, Ky., was shot in the foot while a man, identified as Brandon Jennings, 21, of Huntington, was shot in the chest.  Investigators said both are currently recovering from their injuries.

McGinnis reportedly told police she was on the dance floor when the shots were fired and she fled the bar with several others, only realizing once she was outside that she had been wounded.

Huntington Police said they found no weapons at the bar which used to be called Rehab.
