Huntington police chief has a new job

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Huntington Police Chief Skip Holbrook is expected to be introduced as the new police chief in Columbia, South Carolina on Friday morning.

A press conference was scheduled for 9 a.m.

Though no official announcement had been made about his departure, Huntington city officials confirmed on Thursday Holbrook’s resignation was scheduled to take effect there on April 7.

Holbrook, a Cabell County native, has served as Huntington’s Police Chief since 2007.

In that time, eight people have lead the Columbia, S.C. Police Department.
