Woman dies after being hit by vehicle in Raleigh County

DANIELS, W.Va. — A Summers County woman is dead after being hit by a car Thursday in Raleigh County,

Raleigh County sheriff’s deputies said Dorothy Price, 64, of Jumping Branch, was walking along Ritter Drive in Daniels with her son. Deputies said when she started to cross the road she was hit by an oncoming SUV.

Price was transported to Beckley ARH Hospital. She died a few hours later. At this point, police said they don’t expect to file charges against the driver.
