Carey pledges West Virginia will play better in Round 2

BATON ROUGE, La. — Coach Mike Carey saw the good and the not-so-good from his No. 2-seeded West Virginia squad in a 76-61 opening-round NCAA win over Albany. But it all led to the Mountaineers’ 30th victory of the season and, most importantly, a second-round date with LSU.
