DOH closes Madison Creek Road—again

MADISON CREEK, W.Va. — The state Division of Highways announced Friday evening the closure of Madison Creek Road in Logan County until further notice.

The DOH said the contractor doing work on a section of state Route 10 above the road was concerned about the hillside slipping with recent heavy rains.

Local residents can still use the causeway that crosses the Guyandotte River that was finished in January.

Madison Creek Road was originally closed last fall because of a shifting hillside.
