Morgantown 8th grader wins state geographic bee

ATHENS, W.Va. — Make it three in a row for Morgantown 8th grader Andrew Christy. The St. Francis Central Catholic student won the West Virginia Geographic Bee Friday held at Concord University.

Christy for the third straight year will be the state’s representative in the national geographic bee in Washington, D.C. May 19-21.

Christy topped 55 4th thru 8th graders in Friday’s competition.
