Man suffers burn injuries in Elkins blaze

ELKINS, W.Va. — A man is being treated at the West Penn Burn Unit in Pittsburgh after apparently setting himself on fire Friday in an Elkins apartment.

Firefighters responded to a third floor apartment on Second Street at shortly after 5:00 p.m. and they found the man and a woman. They were both initially taken to Davis Medical Center before the man was transported to Pittsburgh.

The state Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating along with Elkins police.
