Loved the clips from the first half of the Gold and Blue Game. However, that background fingernails on the blackboard screeching music has got to go.

I say 50% of the offense this year should be run out of the diamond formation. Big 12 D is built to stop the pass(smaller faster than SEC, BIG 12). Run it down their dang throat

Amazing that we are now in year number two after Geno and we don't have a clear choice at QB. What in the world is going on. When you bring in a guy from Junior college he should be ready to go. It's obvious that Howard ain't close.
Let's face it, if Tricket isn't ready, we're in deep trouble.
For the first time in a while we have a stable of running backs that are as good as any but if we don't have a QB they'll line up 8 in the box and dare us to beat them by throwing the ball.

Hey is works for LSU every year. They have very mediocre quarterbacks and have success.

      • BH

True. But LSU also has multiple 5 star recruits playing on their defensive line.

    • Aaron

With a more complicated blocking scheme that resulted in 1745 yard, the trio of unproven quarterbacks still threw for over 3000 yards.

All whoever says hut hut has to do is play within their game, not turn the ball over and move the ball on 3rd down, the offense will be just fine.

      • hey, Kool Aid Boy

Yeah, sure, that's all a QB has to do if we want to go 4-8 again. If however, we want to make a bowl game we are going to need much better QB play than we got last year.

Other than the QBs being a huge concern, the one thing ALL reports from spring practice agree on is that OUR defense has dominated the offense.

That's OUR, 100+ ranked 2 years running, defense dominating. As we are going to play many teams with much better defenses than we have, one has to be in some deep denial to think things will be "fine" as long as we have a QB merely capable of not making mistakes.

        • Aaron

West Virginia's offense averaged over 400 yards per game last year. How is the offensive side of the game the reason they lost 8 games hatter?

          • Lantz

Big 12 isn't exactly stacked with defensive teams...

  • Mister Man

    Good job, guys.

  • Frederick

Q: Is there a chance the defense could improve the top 100?

    A: That depends...

Way to go out on a limb.

  • Alex

Mr. Hoff & Mr. Taylor. In my opinion this is the best Gotd & Blue report ever...Great job....Coverd a lot of positions very informative.

    Thanks for the video.....
