Head-on crash claims one life injures several others

FAIRPLAIN, W.Va. — One person was killed and several people critically injured following a two-vehicle crash Friday evening on Route 21 in Jackson County.

The collision involved an SUV and passenger car. Authorities said there were a total of 10 people in the vehicles.

The wreck was in Fairplain near Smith Road. Some of the victims had to be cut out of the wreckage.
