Wheeling area hit with another bank robbery

BETHLEHEM, W.Va. — For the third time in as many weeks there’s been a bank robbery in the Wheeling area.

State Police said a man walked into the United Bank branch in Bethlehem Monday morning at around 11 o’clock and demanded money. He was carrying what appeared to be a small-caliber handgun.

He was given cash and he drove away in a maroon four-door Dodge Spirit.

Troopers said he was wearing a dark-colored ski mask, blue jeans and tennis shoes.

Police are still investigating two other armed robberies in Wheeling in recent weeks. Both of those took place in downtown Wheeling.
