PARKERSBURG, W.Va. — A Parkersburg convenience store was the site of armed robbery early Wednesday morning.

Parkersburg police said a man entered the Speedway on 7th Street at about 4 a.m. He waited for the clerk to get behind the counter and then produced a handgun and demanded money.

Police said the clerk emptied the cash register, gave it to the suspect and he ran from the store.

The man was wearing a dark ski mask and a blue sweatshirt.
