Woman wanted for attempted robbery in Bluefield picked up in Tennessee

BLUEFIELD, W.Va. — A woman who allegedly tried to rob a bank there earlier this month in Bluefield has been arrested in Tennessee.

Police in Morristown, Tenn. arrested Beverly Ann Mangum this week on a home invasion charge. It’s alleged Mangum tried to rob the First Century Bank on College Avenue in Bluefield April 11.

Police said Mangum passed the teller a note and demanded money but didn’t stick around for the cash, she ran.
