Detroit man waives preliminary hearing in Charleston murder case

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A Detroit man charged in a Charleston murder waived his preliminary hearing Friday.

The first degree murder case against Mark Gaddy will now go straight to the grand jury.

Gaddy, D.J. Carter and a juvenile are all charged in last week’s gang-related shooting death of 18-year-old Tymel McKinney.

McKinney was shot in the face while on the porch of his West Side home.

Gaddy remains in the South Central Regional Jail without bail.
