Multi-million dollar weekend for WV Powerball

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The West Virginia Lottery says there were three big winners in the Powerball drawing from Saturday.

Two players won $1 million by matching five winning numbers and another won $2 million after paying an extra dollar for the Power Play option.

The $1 million winners have come forward and will be introduced in news conferences this afternoon at lottery headquarters. Those tickets, purchased in Crab Orchard and Ripley, both belonged to West Virginia residents, lottery officials said.
