Former food bank director pleads guilty to embezzlement

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — The former executive director of the Huntington Area Food Bank pleaded guilty Monday to one count of embezzlement.

Leigh Ann Zappin, 57, originally faced 17 counts but cut a plea bargain with prosecutors.

Zappin took nearly $24,000. She will be sentenced next month.
