Murder conviction in Mingo County

WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — A Mingo County jury convicted a man Wednesday afternoon in the murder of his girlfriend.

The panel found Donald Medley, 45, guilty of first degree murder. He killed 55-year-old Evelyn Farnum.

Farnum was reported missing Dec. 30, 2012. Her body was found in her SUV in Laurel Lake.

Greg Medley, Donald’s brother, is charged with helping him push the SUV into the water. He is scheduled to go on trial later this year.
