CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Hoppy Kercheval and Jeff Jenkins recap the 2014 primary election results, from a Senate race that will pit Shelley Moore Capito (R) against Natalie Tennant (D), to the series of Congressional battles around West Virginia.

In the 2nd Congressional District, Alex Mooney won the Republican nomination by more than 4,000 votes and will face off against Democrat Nick Casey in November’s general election for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.

    I am really hoping we elect some liberal people in the fall. I dread these gun-nut Republicans getting into office and nothing of a progressive-nature occurs. The air and water are becoming dirty. People are getting shot up all over the place. Gay people can't marry in WV. Taxes need to be raised on the middle-class and rich. More government jobs are needed in the wake of the George Bush failed economy that has set this country back for decades.
