Woman charged in girlfriend’s death

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — A Huntington woman allegedly played a role in her girlfriend’s overdose death. 

Misty Dawn Chapman was arrested and arraigned Wednesday evening.

Huntington police charged Misty Dawn Chapman, 27, Wednesday night with murder. It’s alleged she used a hypodermic needle to inject Racheal Chaney, 28, with narcotics. Her body was found in a house on West 5th Avenue on Feb. 7.

Chapman was arraigned and placed in the Western Regional Jail without bail.
