Westover mayor indicted

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The mayor of Westover was arraigned Monday in Monongalia County Circuit Court after being indicted on two election-related charges.

Mayor David Johnson was indicted on one count of circulating anonymous written material, a misdemeanor, and one count of unlawful printing, possession or delivery of ballots, a felony.

The indictments were sealed until Johnson’s Monday arraignment. He pleaded not guilty.

Johnson was reelected last June.
