Police: hit and run vehicle found

STAR CITY, W.Va. — Star City police have seized the red SUV investigators believe was involved in a deadly hit-and-run accident Saturday morning on Monongahela Boulevard.

Chief Vic Propst said Tuesday the vehicle was being processed for evidence and search warrants would be served. No arrests had been made by midday Tuesday.

Investigators said James Maloney, 32, of Granville, was struck and killed at just before 1 a.m. Saturday as he was walking along the busy street.

Officers said Maloney was struck and the driver continued north.
