Clendenin shooting under investigation.

CLENDENIN, W.Va. — A Clendenin man was arrested by Kanawha County sheriff’s deputies Wednesday afternoon after allegedly shooting another man during a fight at his home.

Deputies charged Sam Myers, 49, with malicious wounding. He allegedly used a shotgun to shoot Allen Dingess, 34, of Winfield in the foot. Dingess received initial treatment by county ambulance crews before having friends drive him to the hospital.

Myers was arraigned and lodged in the South Central Regional Jail.
