South Charleston shooting investigation nets two arrests

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Police in South Charleston say they have the man in custody who shot a man Tuesday morning on Staunton Avenue.

Terrance Brown, 24, of Dunbar, was arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with attempted murder. Investigators said he shot Jason Flester Tuesday morning with a .380. Police found seven shell casings in the area. Flester is being treated at a Charleston hospital.

Police arrested Ashley Workman, 19, Tuesday night and charged her with conspiracy to commit malicious wounding. She was allegedly upset with Flester about a debt and gave Brown the gun to shoot him. Police were still looking for the weapon Wednesday.
