Kanawha woman killed in golf cart accident

ALUM CREEK, W.Va. — A woman is dead after an accident involving a golf cart in Kanawha County.

Sheriff’s deputies said Claudia Workman, 77, of Alum Creek, was driving the golf cart on her property at about 9 p.m. Sunday when she lost control on a gravel road and the cart rolled over an embankment. The machine rolled on top of Workman.

Workman was pronounced dead at the scene.
