CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Bridgeport Mayor Mario Blount pleaded not guilty Friday to federal drug charges related to his works as a pharmacist.
Blount appeared for an arraignment before U.S. Magistrate Judge John Kaull. Blount and co-defendants Angie and April Davis all entered pleas of not guilty.
Judge Kaull has set a 9:30 a.m., Aug. 4 trial date.
The defendants are alleged to have conspired over the last three years to distribute prescription painkillers for non-legitimate medical purposes. They were arrested back on Tuesday.
All three are free on bond.
