ESPN made the announcement Friday morning. The game at Yager Stadium in Oxford, OH will be broadcast at ESPN3.com.
The matchup is a rematch of last year’s 52-14 season opening drubbing by the Thundering Herd. Marshall scored 38 unanswered points in the second half to blow open game against its former Mid-American Conference rivals.
Rakeem Cato tossed five touchdowns and had 253 yards passing while The Herd’s running backs recorded 304 yards on the ground.
With Friday’s announcement at least seven of Marshall’s 12 games will be televised.
