Woman dies in truck wreck

SPRINGFIELD, W.Va. — State Police are continuing their investigation after a crash Tuesday evening in Hampshire County claimed the life of a Hardy County woman.

Troopers said Debbie Saul, 64, of Baker, was killed after being thrown out of a truck being driven by her husband, Larry Saul, 65. The two were traveling on state Route 28 near Springfield at around 5 p.m. Tuesday when Mr. Saul lost control on the wet roads, it was raining at the time. Both were ejected from the vehicle as it skidded on its side.

Debbie Saul was pronounced dead shortly after the wreck, her husband is being treated at a Maryland hospital. Troopers said they don’t believe the couple was wearing seat belts.
