Interstate 64 crash claims life

CROSS LANES, W.Va. — One person was killed after being ejected from a vehicle in a crash in Kanawha County on Thursday afternoon.

The wreck happened in the westbound lanes of Interstate 64 near the Cross Lanes exit.

State troopers said a driver lost control of the vehicle around 5 p.m. and the victim was thrown out.

The crash impacted evening rush-hour traffic in the Kanawha Valley.
