Patriot Coal moving HQ from Charleston to Putnam County

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Patriot Coal is moving its headquarters from downtown Charleston to Putnam County. A company spokesperson confirmed the move to MetroNews Friday afternoon.

Patriot’s West Virginia corporate offices have been at Laidley Tower. The new location is the International Coal Group building just off the Interstate 64 Teays Valley exit.

The move is expected soon.

Patriot has approximately 100 workers at its Charleston headquarters.
