CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A former secretary for the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department pleaded guilty Tuesday to mail fraud charges.

U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin said Cheryl Gray of Hilltop pocketed the cash that was coming in to the department for gun permits. He said Gray created a false receipts book. Her fraud cost the sheriff’s department and State Police about $40,000.

Gray faces up to 20 years in prison at her Sept. 23 sentencing.

Why do people post such nonsense. This previous posting reminds me of the propaganda by the likes of Carl Rowe (Republican Strategist) and Joseph Goebbels (Nazi) to demonize and dominate peoples thoughts thru the printed and spoken word. why is every economic crisis and major political corruption cases been caused by republicans. To predict the future, know history, educate yourself. Why do you think the Taliban doesn't want educated population. Wake up my fellow West Virginians, The key to success is education.

A political appointee for the liberal, (d), democratic sheriff and former democratic legislator. Has anyone checked to see if she donated to any of the sheriff's campaigns? I wonder how deep the corruption runs in this democratic bastion.
