George Washington’s Edwards, Sr. reflects on career

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Former George Washington coach Steve Edwards, Jr. was one of two recent inductees into the West Virginia Athletic Coaches Association’s Hall of Fame. He joined Talkline with Kyle Wiggs to reflect on his career overall.

“It’s been a part of my life ever since I was a kid,” Edwards, Sr. said. “Playing football and coaching football is something that I’ve done all of my life. It’s something I enjoyed and I am still enjoying it. It’s been a good experience for me and I hope I have influenced or made an impact on some of the kids’ lives.”

Edwards, Sr. of late has served as an assistant on his son’s coaching staff at George Washington. The complete interview is posted above.
