Hurricane’s Rogoszewski commits to North Carolina

Hurricane rising senior J.T. Rogoszewski plan to play baseball for North Carolina.

HURRICANE, W.Va. — Hurricane High baseball standout J.T. Rogoszewski announced via Twitter he has committed to North Carolina.

The rising senior was named Class AAA first-team all-state this past season after helping lead Hurricane to its first state championship since 2002.

On the mound, Rogoszewski finished the past year with an 8-1 record and 1.53 ERA. He also helped lead Hurricane to the boys basketball title game in Class AAA, where the Redskins narrowly lost to Huntington.

Former Nitro catcher Korey Dunbar just finished his sophomore year with the Tar Heels.
