Fatal accident mars holiday

BUFFALO, W.Va. — A Friday evening wreck in Putnam County claimed the life of a Hurricane man.

Buffalo police identified the victim as Richard Comstock, 60, of Hurricane. Comstock lost control of his vehicle on Route 62 in front of the Toyota plant. The vehicle rolled four times before coming to a stop. Police say Comstock was ejected as the car flipped and was thrown more than 80 feet from the scene.

Investigators believe speed was the main reason for the fatal accident.
