Bank robbed in Mercer County

PRINCETON, W.Va. — A man robbed a bank in Mercer County Tuesday afternoon. 

The bank robbery occurred Tuesday afternoon at City National Bank near East River Plaza.

Mercer County sheriff’s deputies said the crime took place at City National Bank’s branch on Greasy Ridge Road at East River Plaza. The man showed a handgun and demanded money.

Investigators said after he got the money he jumped over a guardrail and ran into the woods.

The suspect is described as being six-feet tall, weighing about 170 pounds. He looked to be in his 30s.
