Huntington murderer sentenced

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — The Huntington man who killed two people on Election Day 2012 in Cabell County will serve two consecutive life sentences for the murders.

Thomas White, 22, learned his sentence in Cabell County Circuit Court this week.

White was convicted on two counts of first degree murder in April for the shooting deaths of Darrell Fuqua, 22, of Detroit, and Devonte Penn, 17, of Detroit. They were shot at a home along Foster Ave. in Huntington.

Even with a mercy recommendation, White will spend at least 30 years in prison for the crimes. He’ll serve a minimum of 15 years for each count consecutively.

White’s co-defendant, Rocky Williams, 19, of Huntington, is already in prison after entering a Kennedy plea for second degree murder and second degree robbery for his role in the shootings last year.
