Cool morning; record low temperature in Wheeling

WHEELING, W.Va. — The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh said Wheeling set a low temperature record Thursday.

It was 50 degrees breaking the previous record for July 17 of 58 degrees set back in 2003.

NWS Pittsburgh said the coldest spot in its service area Thursday morning was Davis in Tucker County where it was 45 degrees.
