Sportsline: Huntington Prep coach Arkell Bruce

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Huntington Prep basketball coach Arkell Bruce was a recent guest on the MetroNews Statewide Sportsline, talking about taking over the program following the departure of Rob Fulford.

“It’s been a little hectic trying to get all of my ducks in a row,” Bruce said. “I’ve been finalizing a roster and getting prepared to come to Huntington Prep. I’m in a great situation and I’m very blessed. I have a great staff and great support system – it’s been going along nice and smooth.”

Bruce was a longtime assistant for Fulford.

“I’ve learned from a great guy in Rob Fulford,” he said. “Now it’s just going to take off moving forward. He built a great brand and I’m trying to expand on it.”

The complete interview with Bruce is posted above.
