Wheeling Park student killed in Myrtle Beach crash

MURRELLS INLET, S.C. — A traffic accident in Myrtle Beach Friday claimed the life of a Wheeling Park High School student.

South Carolina Highway Patrol said Alexander Joseph Fedak, 17, of Wheeling, lost control of the car he was driving on Wesley Road in Murrells Inlet at about 12:05 a.m. The vehicle left the road and slammed into a tree.

Fedak was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger was hospitalized.

Police said both Fedak and the passenger were wearing seat belts.

Wilson Funeral Home in Brookside, Ohio is in charge of arrangements.
