Father-daughter dead in Mingo County crash

MATEWAN, W.Va. — Police in Mingo County released the names Sunday night of a father and daughter who died Friday night in a remote area of the county.

Sheriff’s deputies said Sid and Amanda Norman were killed in an accident that happened on a muontain at Blackberry City near Matewan. Police didn’t know about it until one of two people who survived the wreck was able to walk for help Saturday.

The fourth person is in critical condition.
