South Carolina fugitive arrested in Martinsburg

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A man wanted for murder in South Carolina is now being held in the Eastern Regional Jail.

U.S. Marshals and Martinsburg Police arrested Blake Octavian Parrish, 26, in Martinsburg on Monday following a brief foot chase.

U.S. Marshals in South Carolina notified their counterparts in West Virginia of Parrish’s possible location. He reportedly has family in the Martinsburg area.

Additionally, Parrish — who will be charged as a fugitive from justice — was wanted on a wanton endangerment charge in Berkeley County. Martinsburg Police have also accused him of obstruction and fleeing.
