Motorcycle crash in Boone County claims life

HEWETT, W.Va. — State Police in Boone County released information Tuesday about a motorcycle crash that resulted in death.

Troopers said Grant Backus, 16, was riding his motorcycle on Missouri Fork Road near Hewett Saturday evening when it collided with another motorcycle. Backus was taken to a hospital where he died Sunday.

Investigators said the other motorcycle operator was not seriously injured.
